Who’s that Lady..

Kita B, pen name Lady Lay, is a native of Southeast Washington, DC. She was educated through the DC Public School System and graduated high school at the age of sixteen. She was known as an organized honor student, three-sport athlete, and held two part-time jobs in the sport industry. After working in professional sports and doing Sport Statistics, she went on to study Sport Management at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. In college, she acted as the school’s Sport Statistician. By the time she graduated college, she already had eight years of experience organizing sporting events. After college, she began working in the Conference and Meetings Industry where she was able to travel the US planning conferences. She also served as a part-time Baseball and Softball Coach, organized small business pop-up events, and even served the US during a job as an Afloat Recreation Specialist aboard a Naval ship.

…Gifts She’d Wanna Bring

It was there, on a ship for months at a time, where she realized that she was struggling mentally. With her mind in dis-ease in the middle of the ocean, things like depression and anxiety begin to fester. In addition to this, she began to develop spiritually which caused more inner chaos. When she departed the ship for good, she returned to DC with hopes of connecting with like-minded individuals and furthering her career in the event industry. In DC, she healed by joining tribes and initiatives, organizing and engaging in community circles to grow and inspire change in herself and others. Expressing herself through healing, movement, and organizing is a passion that A Lil Lady is acting out. Whether it be joy at an event, or joy within your mind, A Lil Lady is here to assist you.
